Tuesday 12th December - Carols for the Stroke Association @Hays Galleria, nr London Bridge
In re-establishing our connection with the Stroke Association post pandemic, we were able to return to the wonderful Christmas Tree in Hays Galleria to provide some festive cheer for homebound commuters as well as raise funds for this important charity.

Thursday 24th November - Carols @Crystal Palace Triangle Xmas Light Switch-on
We were delighted to put a out a small ensemble at short notice to help provide some festive music to this event held outside at the Westow House pub, which was a very well attended event by the local community.

Friday 20th October - Radio appearance - Matt Chorley Show on Times Radio
In an occasional appearance by our CPB5 ensemble, we featured regularly during Matt's 3 hour morning political slot show, performing an eclectic mix of popular tunes that included The Beach Boys, Burt Bacharach, Amy Winehouse and the Postman Pat theme during his readout of letters from viewers !

Sunday 8th October - Concert - Crystal Palace Park, London
In our 3rd appearance this year on the Crystal Palace Platform, we had the pleasure to performed a 2 hour concert as part of a series of concerts through October by local community groups (we've certainly been fortunate with the weather for these outdoor events !).

Sunday 17th September - Concert - Crystal Palace Park, London
In 2nd of 3 appearances this year on the Crystal Palace Platform, we performed a 40 minute programme alongside a variety of local community groups as part of Crystal Palace Park Trust's Garden Party to celebrate them taking on the the day to day running of the park.

Sunday 10th September - Concert - Regents Park Bandstand, London
On our first concert in a Royal Park since the pandemic, the Main Band returned to this wonderful bandstand for the first time since September 2019 in glorious weather.

Friday 2nd June - Competition - Whit Friday Marches @ Saddleworth
The Main Band took the opportunity to feature in a days recording of the BBC Antiques Roadshow, where we were filmed on the refurbished Crystal Palace Concert Platform (formerly the Crystal Palace Bowl) playing the classic brass band march "Death or Glory" by R.B.Hall.
The band briefly featured in final episode of three broadcast out of the days filming.

Friday 2nd June - Competition - Whit Friday Marches @ Saddleworth
The Main Band and Progress Band joined forces to take part in this traditional date in the brass band calendar where brass bands from all around the UK plus some band from abroad descend on the Saddleworth area to play at a number of different villages, which served as a great experience (helped by the fact that it stayed dry !).

Sunday 19th March - Competition - 3rd Section Regionals @ Stevenage
The Main Band returned to competition with some significant changes in line-up to come a disappointing 17th out of 18 bands playing Steven Bulla's "Chorale and Toccata".
The photos below were taken whilst we were performing and just after we played under the baton of our interim MD Danny Wakefield. Thanks to Danny for all the effort in preparing for this during what is a transitionary stage for the band.
